Xemorrah- a futuristic "Gomorrah"
Thesis
Jiaxun’s thesis collection, Xemorrah, reimagines the biblical city of Sodom through a futuristic lens of apocalypse and excess, drawing from the surrealism of Bosch’s Garden of Earthly Delight and incorporating techniques such as generative pattern-making and layered textiles. Influenced by the radical defiance of Futurism and the aesthetics of Alexander McQueen, Salvia, and Fecal Matters, Li designs garments that are both violent and beautiful—visual fragments of a collapsing world. Through his disruptive approach, he challenges traditional fashion narratives, offering a powerful vision for those who exist on the margins of society.
